best described as outdoor slippers,so comfortable and great to be able to get a half size, i would recommend that you have the half size above your normal shoe size

I am on my third pair and agree, you couldn't ask for better. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. You're on to a winner with this product.

I have had 3 or 4 pairs of these and wear them pretty much all day every day. They have kept my feet lovely while trekking in New Zealand, Europe and all over the UK. I don't think I could ever buy another pair as long as these are still being made. I am not a fitness type guy but like walking and these I have found are the longest lasting, and most comfortable trainers you could ever wish to treat your feet to, for pretty much any purpose. Go get yourself a pair now, don't just take my word for it!

Like many others I am on my 4th pair of these things and have just bought a 5th before I can't find them anywhere else.
I don't own a car, I own a pair of North face. They get me where I'm going until my feet stop!

Clubs, parties, mountains, mudflats and beaches and even round the office. All terrain, smart, comfy and funky. I'm on my third pair and I'm off into town to get my fourth this afternoon. As long as they keep making them, I will keep buying them. Superb.

As a postman I need good comfortable and hard wearing footwear. Although Royal Mail do provide good quality footwear for our use I could never find footwear I was totally satisfied with so I took the chance with these trainers. I have never looked back. Comfortable and ready for use from day 1 (no foot killing breaking in), hard wearing and very durable. Just what I have been looking for. Strongly recommended by this Postie.

I am on my third pair, as a fell runner I get through footwear pretty fast. These cope with every condition and all types of terrain. I recently used them for a winter endurance fell race of twenty two and a half miles covering the most challenging terrain in the peak district. They deal with whatever is thrown at them, bogs, rock faces, river crossings & even deep snow.

Great trainers, always cool and look good!

I have now had two pairs of these trainers and would certainly buy another pair. They are great for anyone with wide, odd shaped feet such as mine and are one of the few trainers i have worn that do not cut my toes up when running over the hills in them.
I have worn my last pair for 5 months now in all conditions including snow and ice, and they have held up well, although the Gore-Tex inners are now split and the tread is nearly worn out.....but then I am out most days walking or running in them. The only problem I find with the Gore-Tex is that if water fills the trainer it stays in the foot area and does not dry out.
Overall, one of the best trainers I have worn for years.

I bought mine 18 months ago and wear them most days, they look good with jeans and shorts. They are robust, hard wearing and oh so comfortable. And they are waterproof - even in all the bad weather we've had this winter, whether walking or cycling. Fantastic, but I do agree about the laces hence the 9/10.

I have had a pair of these for over a year now and used them for walking in the Lake District and walking across Kruger park and they are the most comfortable walking trainers I have ever owned. Only problem with them is the laces, you have to double tie them or else they come undone, and the laces outer cover breaks and i cannot get any of the original pattern. Overall the best apart from price.

I am in my second year with these XCR Trainers, from serious ountaineering to everyday use these trainers fit the bit bill for comfort & durability. I would not waste my money on anything else, so much so that I am just about to buy another pair!!
