    Designed for mountaineering, skiing and ski mountaineering, the Trango uses the latest fabrics and technology. Made from tough and durable Gore-Tex XCR Ascendor, this jacket provides the ultimate in breathability and durability. Areas of wear are reinforced with Gore-Tex XCR 3 layer Cassis fabric containing Cordura face fabric. This material is twice as durable than nylon, making it perfect for reinforcing those areas of the jacket that get work, such as the shoulders and elbows. Gore-Tex Micro Tape is used to seal all the seams, maximising breathability and comfort.

    In this area without travelling into the Lake District, there is only one shop (15 miles away) with an extremely limited choice (2 different jackets at Millets), so the internet was my only real choice and what a choice from outdoorkit. In the end, after much perusal, I decided upon the Trango XCR. It arrived promptly and complete. The first day I wore it, it poured with rain and the jacket kept me completely dry, great. All in all a good experience from ordering right through to wearing.
