Lovely, lovely boots. I have *ahem* chunky calves and these are perfect as they have the advantage of a zip for speed, yet the width can still be adjusted via the laces. Very comfy from first wear plus nice and warm. Highly recommended, high quality boots.

I have very narrow and shallow feet and only risked buying these boots because they had some adjustment via the laces on the front. The boots I got were size 5.5 and that was just right in the length and width for me. The boots were comfortable and needed no breaking in. The laces at the front give you minimal adjustment as the tongue gets in the way of tightening but it would be fine if you needed more calf room. They might be advertised as 'waterproof' but the side zip is not gusseted and will leak if puddles are deep enough. Great fashion boot (my purpose) but limited use for heavy duty.
