Haglofs Men's Massif Jacket

Well, I was looking for a jacket with great versatility and I found it. Apart from functionality one of best things about it is the cut - it's kind of body hugging where it needs to be , but allows for great movement without it rising up over the hips or the having the sleeves pull back over the wrists. So far the Massif has served me well when skiing in northern Finland (conditions dry but down to -20C) and on various yachting trips around the south coast UK. The windstopper fabric works a treat and once I'm layered up inside I'm as warm or as fresh as I need to be. The armpit vents really help cut down on heat when working hard and allow for great temperature control. I needed something that was light, cut the wind, and to a large degree cut the wet. There are no taped seams here but if it's going to really rain hard and long then a thin waterproof shell can be slipped over the top which adds security. I kind of feel that in certain rain and wind barely anything is going to keep you really dry and you better be reaching for the oilskins. A real plus is that it doesn't look like overkill and you can easily wear it to the shops without looking like you want to be noticed. Clothing is so personal - all I can say is that this one works for me across a wide variety of pursuits and fits well into everyday life. This is a jacket that I'll be wearing until it's worn out - which could be quite some time.
