Jack Wolfskin Stormlock Shapka Hat

When I bought the hat I thought it was a bit pricey. I paid £33 for it. It was the only hat left in the store that was weatherproof and my size. I needed a hat, right then, for a hiking trip I was just about to start. After grudgingly handing over my cash to pay for the hat, I spent the next 2 days in freezing cold, rainy weather, glad that I bought it. I gave it a good testing on that trip. I thought I might return it afterwards, saying it was too....... something or another.But, this is definitely a keeper. It kept my head dry and warm in really stormy West Highland Way weather. The hat folds up easily when the ears don't need covered and the peak is actually functional even though it was tack sewn into a closed position when I bought it. The peak was useful when the daily 1/2 hour of sunshine showed up. I would say that this is the best hat I have owned and I have even bought another one because Jack Wolfskin don't make them anymore. The hat really is waterproof but feels nothing like anything waterproof that I already have. It is soft to the skin and so comfortable that youquickly forget it is on. I like this hat.

I really like this hat,soft and light but windproof and warm perfect for cold windy dry weather,well made,looks nice too,decent price for a good make.fleeced throughout.
