Nail your work/life balance with the Borealis Backpack. It transitions from forest trails to commuter trains with ease. Its 28 litre capacity is roomy enough for extra hiking layers and a packed lunch or gym essentials, books and binders. There's a separate protected laptop compartment, organisation panel, zip pockets, two external water bottle pockets one with quick-draw smartphone access that you can reach without removing the bag and an external fleece-lined pocket, which is a scratch-free zone for your sunglasses. Seeing as you can pack quite a bit in the Borealis, you'd expect a good carrying system. And it delivers on this, too. The FlexVent suspension system is made up of flexible moulded shoulder straps, a comfortable padded mesh back section and a breathable lumbar panel. And if you prefer to commute by bike, you can do so safely thanks to the strategically-placed reflectors offering 360 visibility and by attaching a light to the bike-light loop.
A perfect bag for an outdoor worker! I use this bag daily it's great for carrying my diary and risk assessment folders in its laptop pouch, and is hard wearing as my other kit consists of a bill hook, axe, hand saw and other small hand tools with room for my lunch. Would defiantly recommend.

I've had this since Feb 09. Still going strong, the zips are excellent. Used every day for; work, leisure, cycling, and shopping etc. Good organiser section. Comfortable and probably the perfect size for a day sack, good waterproofing levels in showers but keep zips covered and closed - you will still need a dry bag for severe conditions... maps in cases etc. It's 10/10, dependable kit that lasts without any particular care. Washes fine in a machine in my experience.

This bag is 30L, but you really can you pack lots in without annoying your fellow commuters on buses and trains. It's also great to wear when cycling too with two easy to reach mesh pockets to keep a bottle or flask.
It looks elegant and I've even used this as carry on luggage at airports, and laughed when it so easily fitted in overhead compartments.
Everyday, I can carry a 17" laptop, folders, books, enough stuff for the gym and my lunch to work. It really is like Dr Who's tardis! I bought a Borealis well over a year ago and it fits so good on your back like a glove with the shoulder straps too. You just don't feel the weight you're carrying or look like you are walking on the moon!
The bag is perfect for short business or leisure trips abroad. It's so reliable - It still remains in perfect condition through heavy rain and heatwaves in the UK, Europe, Asia and the US. Best fifty quid I've ever spent on a bag. I recommend it, buy one and you'll never look back again!
Thanks to Outdor kit for their quick postage to me and thanks to North Face!
