I bought the Rab Ascent Jacket for my husband. He said it's the best jacket he has ever had. He has had feather filled jackets before but this beats the lot. Can well recommend it.
I purchased this jacket at 3.15pm on Wednesday 28 Dec and it arrived 7am on 29 Dec. 7 am! An excellent jacket with no skimping on sizes, the XXL is a wonderful fit. I would recomend this.
Hi all, I have owned my Ascent jacket for a while now and love it, the build quality is of the highest class, the jacket is long enough to cover your rear, and it is just superbly warm. I have owned other down jackets including the Rab Summit, a great jacket for climbers as it has high pockets for harness use, but my Ascent has lower ones which I can keep my hands warm in easily. It also has more down filling than the Summit - believe it or not! The extra quilting over the shoulders helps prevent down shifting from shoulder area and eliminates cold spots.
A cracking piece of kit and one that will last many a winter.
