Fantastic bit of kit. Spent twice as much on outdoor coats in the past but this wins hands down. Great service from OutdoorKit as well! Delivered next day

fantastic. absolutely fantastic. keeps you warm arnywhere and everywhere. mine's been with me to afghanistan in winter (freezing and below) and to canada in winter and both times just wore if with a thin base layer and overheated as soon as i did anything. even survives winter in the lake district! cant recommend them enough if you're going somewhere cold!

Excellent. Have tried this hiking across windswept heath in 6.5-8C, and also doing MTB in 5C with biting wind, both times with no base layer as recommended by Buffalo. It is instantly warm when you put it on and for MTB I didn't need to cover my legs. NB: this is designed for strenuous activity where you don't want to have to keep removing layers - e.g. hiking with pack up a hill/at pace, MTB, etc. On a bike I sweated buckets (I run hot) and have learned to open up the zips and vents which dries you quickly - you won't freeze if active, although if you keep them shut you do stay warm when wet; however, if you are just going for a more gentle pace in cold temps I would wear a base layer and just accept you'll overheat as soon as you slightly raise your heart rate. Excellent top - for cyclists I'd go for the specific cycling versions as cars can at least see you in these. Also for sizing, if you are between sizes like me (41) for the Buffalo Active Lite go a size down (40), for the Buffalo Special 6 go a size up (42).
